Beau Scott joined Alpha Bay in 2006 as a Senior Software Engineer and currently holds the position of Senior UI Architect. In this role, Mr. Scott has lead the technology development and innovation efforts for the company’s Retail and Mobile POS Suites
Mr. Scott brings more than 15 years of experience in architecture and development of leading-edge web technologies utilizing Adobe Flex, Adobe AIR, HTML5, Java, and Objective-C. He has lead engineering teams in the design and development of several highly-customizable, high performance modular client application platforms. Participated in layout and graphic design of client and web applications in conjunction with product management and customers. As well as developed internal processes, patterns, and tools to streamline engineering efforts and efficiency at Alpha Bay.
Prior to joining Alpha Bay, Mr. Scott held Web Development, Software Engineer, and Free Lance positions providing web and traditional software development and IT technical services to small businesses around the nation.
Mr. Scott attended Utah Valley State College. He has actively participated in open-source projects, including Adobe’s Open-Source edition of Flex, HessianKit. Scott is a member of several Adobe prerelease testing programs, including; Flex, AIR, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Mr. Scott also has a tech blog which he provides code examples, gives code reviews, and offers several open-source java scripts and Flex libraries.
