Jack Blount, Founder, Chairman, President & CEO
Mr. Blount has served as the CEO and founder of Alpha Bay Corporation since its inception in 2005. He has more than thirty years experience in the computer industry and over twenty years senior management experience, including the roles of Chairman, President, CEO, COO, and CTO. He has a successful track record of assembling powerful teams from his vast network of seasoned professionals and successfully leading companies to achieve rapid growth and solid profits.

 

Mr. Blount has been an executive in several public companies including Novell, Borland, Raindance Communications, TeleComputing, and JD Edwards, and began his career at IBM. He has experience in all aspects of the technology arena including enterprise software, personal productive software, Internet, telephony, data networking, wireless networking, and hardware. In addition to his technical acumen, Mr. Blount has had responsibility for sales, marketing, and operations for both international products and services, and has continually produced dramatic growth in revenues and profits. Mr. Blount has also launched new products in most parts of the world including the U.S., Europe, Canada, Japan, China, and Latin America.

 

Mr. Blount continues to share his vision and leadership as a well-known industry expert and a frequent speaker at industry conferences in the U.S. and internationally, including COMDEX, Windows World, PC Expo, NetWorld, CeBIT, CTIA Wireless Apps, and Telecom Asia.

 

Mr. Blount has launched three software startups, taken two software companies public, and worked closely with several venture capital firms. Mr. Blount has also executed four successful turn-arounds. Most recently, he led Dynix Corporation, where he achieved double-digit sales growth for three consecutive years. Mr. Blount has been on the Board of Directors of more than a dozen technology companies.

 

Mr. Blount graduated from Southern Methodist University with degrees in math and computer science with graduate MBA studies at IBM’s Watson Institute.

 

Henry "Ric" Rodriguez III, COO
Mr. Rodriguez has served as the COO of Alpha Bay Corporation beginning in 2007. He has more than twenty seven years experience in the computer industry and over fifteen years senior management experience, including the roles of COO, CTO, CIO, Chief Architect and SVP Products. His executive service with several public companies includes Novell, Seagate, Raindance Communications, and Webroot Software. He began his career at Army Air Force Exchange Service which required a Top Secret security clearance.

 

Rodriguez innate ability to create and assemble teams for delivering world class, enterprise and consumer products and services crosses various technology markets: Internet, enterprise applications, telecommunications, networking, storage, and security. These team building skills also include bringing together disparate groups both geographically and technologically to support global localization and data center design and development that consistently maintains a 99.999% uptime. Leveraging his technical depth and breadth, Ric partners with other company departments (Marketing and Business Development) to ensure the release of products and services that provide a rich and valuable customer experience.

 

Mr. Rodriguez has been successful in both startups and public companies and is a leader in Agile Development methodologies. Most recently Ric led ColdSpark engineering, where he put in process and various development disciplines to meet the demanding business needs in the enterprise messaging market.

 

Byers Parsons, Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Parsons has over twenty years of experience building system software for numerous markets. He has built many high performance teams using his knowledge of processes and project management. He has developed many large scale systems quickly, while also improving quality through the use of automated testing processes. This resulted in significantly reduced support and maintenance costs for many products.

 

Mr. Parsons worked with Mr. Blount at both Raindance Corporation, where he designed and architected a new collaboration solution, and later at Dynix Corporation. Mr. Parson’s first software architect role was at Martin Marietta, where he won the Excalibur award for technical achievement for work with the GAPP, a massively parallel processor. He also worked for the U.S. Army and Navy on several high up-time and secure communications systems.

 

He was the chief architect of a Small Office Home Office (SOHO) joint venture between Signet Bank and United Video Satellite Group (UVSG). He was a senior software architect at Integram International, which developed a worldwide distributed system for unified messaging and faxing.

 

Mr. Parsons has consulted for Sun Microsystems, Storage Tek, US West (Qwest), @Home, HP, Digital Instruments, Delta Airlines, and other major companies on near real-time and large scale systems.

 

Mr. Parsons has a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from Florida State University. He has taught Lisp, Prolog, Smalltalk, and Java programming for several large companies and at Seybold conferences. He has taken many post-graduate classes in artificial intelligence, parallel and distributed systems, and languages systems.

 

Brad Rust, Director of Engineering & Architect
Mr. Rust is a senior software architect with over ten years of software design and development in enterprise class applications and an additional five years of research experience in heterogeneous, high-performance scheduling software. Mr. Rust was a Senior Architect at SirsiDynix Corporation where he was involved in a complete re-design and implementation of a large scale enterprise software system. Mr. Rust was a lead designer and developer at Contigo Software and Raindance Communications, where he developed an Internet-based collaboration and communication system. Development responsibilities have included all aspects of enterprise class applications including thin client, thick client, network, clustered servers, and data storage.
Mr. Rust has a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Maryland.

 

Jeromy T. Wilson, Director of Product Management
Mr. Wilson is a talented Product Manager who has led the success of several enterprise products from conception to large scale, international implementations. He most recently worked at SirsiDynix Corporation where he was the respected by employees and customers as a product expert and industry expert in the areas of portals, multi-source searching and point of service. While at SirsiDynix he worked closely with the development team, product experts, industry experts, partners, and high profile customers to design and implement a large scale enterprise software systems. Mr. Wilson is a frequent speaker and presenter at both US and international conferences and has traveled extensively to meet with customers world-wide.

 

Mr. Wilson has been with Alpha Bay since its inception. He has a bachelor’s degree in business management with an emphasis in marketing from Brigham Young University.

 

Brad Whittle, Vice President of Sales
Mr. Whittle is a results driven sales executive with over 17 years of multi-disciplined leadership experience. He has held various Director and Vice President positions in growth oriented companies throughout his career. His ability to manage complex sales as well as sales organizations enabled him to successfully grow revenue through pre and post acquisitions, start-up and publicly traded companies.

 

Most recently Mr. Whittle served as Vice President of Sales for SirsiDynix, where he lead a turn-around in sales performance and increased sales growth each year. In addition, his experience with enterprise software and eCommerce solutions was essential in shaping corporate strategies and product direction.

 

Mr. Whittle has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Brigham Young University.
